Michelle and Ivan met in the most unlikely place: a JavaScript Meetup! Typically, at these types of events, JavaScript nerds and tech recruiters gather to network, learn, and eat free pizza- not find love. At the time, Michelle was looking for a new job in the Sacramento region, and Ivan was strengthening his skills to better his marketing agency.
What started out as group coding sessions and bar hopping with friends quickly turned into dinner and coffee shop dates between just the two of them. Sparks flew, the relationship grew, and eventually the two moved in together. The adventures continued, and they dated happily for years.
Then, one year, Michelle suggested the two adopt a new tradition for Valentines Day, where the lady makes chocolates for the man, and the man reciprocates with a gift one month later, on White Day. Ivan accepts, of course, because more holidays means more fun, right?
That Valentine's Day, Michelle baked chocolate chip cookies for Ivan with all of her heart. One month later, on White Day, Ivan reciprocated Michelle's love with a ring-- he proposed to Michelle during a weekend getaway to Disneyland. She said yes, of course.
